At the onset of the lockdown due to nCOVID19 crisis, most educational institutions, from schools, to Universities to coaching Centers quickly jumped onto the remote live lectures using live video streaming tools. It was fine in the short term.
However, with extended lockdown, our education system should be doing more than broadcast of live lectures. They need to deploy additional tools for more effective learner engagement, interaction, feedback, assessments and projects that encourage independent learning, and teamwork. We need to prepare so that eLearning is effective in the long haul. It is time for leaders in education to come together.
